RESPONSIBLE SERVING OF ALCOHOL
Introduction:
The Clayton Bowls Club believes that our
patrons have the right to choose to consume alcohol in
licensed clubs as a form of social activity. Our staff have
the responsibility to minimise the risk of harm to
individuals, our staff, other patrons, and to the wider
community.
All of our staff are required to have the
RSA certificate, to demonstrate the best practice in alcohol
service, and to meet the mandatory compliance regulations.
THE CLUB
DOES NOT PROMOTE ANY PRACTICE WHICH MAY ENCOURAGE RAPID OR
EXCESSIVE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL.
CBC Policy:

Management and
staff are aware of and adhere to all the rules and
regulations applicable to responsible service of
alcohol.

Endeavours to
provide a safe and friendly environment in which all
patrons can socialise and enjoy themselves.

Does not
sanction or approve of any promotions that may encourage
the rapid or excessive consumption of alcohol on its
premises. Employees are required to encourage and
promote responsible consumption of alcohol.

Acknowledges
that drunkenness, under-age drinking and alcoholism are
serious social issues and therefore supports initiatives
that assist in addressing and preventing these issues.

Staff endeavours
to prevent under-age drinking on our premises by
requiring valid proof of age from young adults such as
an Australian Drivers Licence, Passport or other proof
of age card permitted in the state of Victoria

Provides the
opportunity for staff training and customer awareness
programs on the Responsible Service of Alcohol.

conducting all aspects of alcohol service in a
professional and responsible manner, complying with all
applicable laws and adhering to endorsed Liquor Service
Codes of Practice
